Offering a new interpretation of the hidden messages and symbols that have ornamented Beatles mythology for years, this examination of the Beatles' recordings and album artwork theorizes that John Lennon's murder was eerily foretold. Following a fascinating and unique trail of sorcery, mysticism, numerology, backwards masking, anagrams, and literary and theological writings, the book posits that John Lennon sold his soul in order to achieve international fame and fortune and subsequently paid the ultimate price for his success.
When I had the opportunity to request this book for review I jumped at the chance. I wouldn’t exactly call myself a Beatles fan but I do like quite a few of their songs. What interested me most about the book was the theory behind it. I love reading all about conspiracies and alternate theories even if I don’t put much faith in them.
While I didn’t believe the theory I really did enjoyed the book. I learned a lot about Lennon that I never knew. Niezgoda even provides a look at Mark David Chapman’s life and the weirdness that led up to his shooting Lennon outside The Dakota. It was an interesting read and I don’t recommend it for Beatles fans but I do recommend it for anyone who enjoys reading different views on major events.

I was growing up when The Beatles were popular and remember trying to play the record backwards! Odd there would be a whole book about this!!
The theory does sound far fetched to me, too. I'm amazed that someone spent the time to research that.
Nothing supernatural about it. The CIA killed John Lennon. Interested? visit ciakilledlennon.blogspot.com
I remember getting an email about this book and thinking it sounded pretty far-fetched.
I am not a real big Beatle's fan myself and would probably not have chosen to read this type of book, had it not been for your review. Thank you for sharing, going to read it now! Sounds interesting!
I'm not a huge scary Beatles fan but I know most of their songs. I heard an interesting interview with the author about this book recently. Sounds interesting!
I read the book too. I agree that I don't know the theory was really proved. But it is very interesting to read, and there are a lot of questions that are hard to answer. Like they say, the most obvious answer is usually right and some of the questions in the book are most easily answered by the devil being involved. Who knows.
