Finally, a much talked about book that lives up to the hype! I’ve read every single one of Michael Crichton books and loved most of them. Pirate Latitudes is right up there with Time Line, Sphere, Rising Sun and Next as one of my favorites.
This is a really quick read and not as long as some of Crichton’s other books but I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a great adventure story. I’m just one of many who will miss Michael Crichton very much.

I was really surprised how short it was, actually, compared to his other stuff. It was also just so...different to me. I haven't read any of his other historicals, just the technothrillers, so it didn't really seem like Crichton to me.
I'm so glad to see this is good because I love Crichton's work.
